Hello and thank you for your interest! We are a warm Greek–Norwegian family living in Athens, where we also run a small family business. We are currently looking for a kind-hearted, dependable, and experienced nanny to support us with our growing family. Our household includes a newborn (expected soon), as well as two children aged three and six. We are seeking someone who is patient, engaged, and genuinely enjoys working with young children, particularly newborns and toddlers. The older children attend school during the daytime (the 3-year-old will stay at home for a few months). The mother will be at home, and childcare will be provided collaboratively. The role mainly involves for the first few months help during daytime. When the toddler returns to school - we will need help mainly during early afternoon with the baby, allowing the mother to rest, and later assistance when the older children return home. Afternoon and evening support includes helping with changing clothes, bathing, meals, creative play, and bedtime preparation. We are ideally looking for someone who would be available to start in February or early March this year. Flexibility and mobility are important, as we are currently based in Ilion but plan to move to Nea Kifisia later this year. We are happy to cover additional travel time and costs related to our temporary location in Ilion. Salary will be competitive and based on the number of working hours, travel time, relevant experience, and educational background. Job Responsibilities and tasks • Provide loving, attentive care for a newborn, toddler, and young child • Organize age-appropriate creative and educational activities (arts & crafts, drawing, building, imaginative play) • Handle daily care routines, including diaper changes, bathing, feeding (including bottle-feeding), and nap schedules • Help children during meal time • Promote positive social behavior, manners, and age-appropriate independence • Ensure children’s safety at all times, both indoors and outdoors • Care for children during minor illness or injury and communicate closely with parents • Maintain clean and organized children’s areas ( cleaning up after meals, disposing of diapers, bedrooms, bathrooms, playrooms), including bottles, toys, and baby laundry • Pack outing bags and support daily routines • Collaborate closely with parents to support the children’s development, routines, and well-being Requirements and skills • Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter (experience with newborns is a strong plus) • Strong understanding of child development across different age stages • Fluent Greek and good working knowledge of English • Warm, patient, and reliable personality • Creative and proactive in engaging children in learning and play • Ability to multitask and stay organized • Flexibility to work mainly daytime hours, with occasional evenings or weekends if needed • Valid, clean driving license • Minimum high school diploma; education or training in child development is highly valued • First aid certification for children, or willingness to obtain one • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Physically fit and able to safely lift and handle infants, toddlers, strollers, and bags, and actively participate in outdoor play
